Where to find your model number

The model and serial numbers are printed on a label (often called the data plate or rating tag) attached to the appliance. Its position depends on the appliance type and design. Check the places below in order.

Can't find it? Can't find it? That's okay. You can still schedule service. A photo of the label, or the brand and appliance type, is enough for us to start.

What the number looks like

A Whirlpool-family model number is a mix of letters and digits, typically 9 to 13 characters (for example WTW5000DW1 or KRFC704FSS01). The last one or two digits are often an engineering revision; include them when you can, but the model without them is still useful. The serial number is a separate, usually shorter code on the same label.
